Oh NO She Didn't...

While goin' through Tivo this evening, the fashionista, Sarah Jessica Parker ("SJP") was on Live with Regis & Kelly and, before SJP started her interview (fabulous guest, btw) if I could have reached through the screen and smacked Ms. Ripa I would have. Why? Two reasons.

1) THESE SHOES. WENCH HAS MY DAMN SHOES. Well - my version is the *more affordable* Nine West version and hers is the mega - Christian Louboutin verison but still. WENCH HAS MY SHOES. I'm having a flashback to 1988. Like I've said before - starting at the age of 15 - Ms. Ripa, along with one Ms. Lillian and Ms. Holly decided that stilettos were the "shoe of choice" on set. I would never say she was part of the "Mean Girls" posse, but she did help dictate fashion choices. Since then, I've worn the heels and flats feel strange. Does that make sense. So - when I am 70, hobbling, I should send Ms. Ripa my podiatrist bill.

THE SHOES

2) As she models her outfit, she walks out wearing said shoes with a dress and LEGGINGS! Yes - LEGGINGS. I bit my lip. Why? Because back in the 80s, Ms. Ripa is the reason we all committed said fashion faux pas. I can name three girls off the bat who wore poofy skirts (ala hers today) but with more opaque leggings (*Cough Tina, Lillian, Holly, Christina N., need I go on *cough cough*)...

Her outfit was remicient of her earlier days on Dance Party. All she needed was her damn poofy hair and rhinestones. When one mentions bad 80s fashion, she (along with most of us) are culprits. However, I will say - that outfit today was fierce as was the Queen of ALL Fashionistas, SJP. Utter fashion fabulousness... I won't even mention the tag that flashed on the bottom of SJP's shoe with the black line crossed out that just made things a tad more human *LOL*...

Kelly - you still bit the shoe concept. But I ain't madatcha. Just don't do it again.
