Weekend Update...

Hmmm.. nothing earth shattering happened this week, just an onslaught of the plague, I mean flu. I've run out of Nyquil and, as my nana would say, "Stuff a cold, starve a fever" - the fever about done did this gal in.

However, one thing did happen this weekend that about pissed me the hell off. I got a call from an editor that never had ANY dealings with me before, had 2 months to call me and calls me at 11:30 at night. Mind you, I'm sick, irritated and wondering who the hell is ringing my phone off the damn hook only to hear someone address me like they know me. What. The. #$*@?!?!?!

Needless to say, after asking him to look at the time, I told him to call at a more "dignified hour" i.e. midday today. Don't you know, he called today over an hour late from when he was supposed to call. (1 hour and 2 months late more like it). That is why this gal loves voicemail. You can bet that his publisher (and my client) will get an earful tomorrow as will Mr. Newbie Editor. This is one of those times, as Roomie said, he done messed with the wrong gal. He will, however, think twice before calling someone that late at night. Tough Love, people. Tough Love! ;)
