Yay or Nay: Couture Pop

I keep seeing this “Couture Pop” everywhere and when I saw it was $22.00 I went “DA HELL?!?!”  Sure, it’s a cute girlie girl novelty but would you spend $22 for a bedazzled lollipop?

Celebrity Branding at it’s finest. *sigh*

Yay or Nay: Promiscuous' Provocative

I'm back on the hunt for some killer za za zu shoes for November and, thanks to SheFinds, stumbled upon these.

What say you to the Provocative by Promiscuous - Yay or Nay?

Yay or Nay: Dexter...

It's been on CBS for the past two weeks and I see Dexter has some favorite actors, Julie Benz (Buffy/Angel), James Remar (S&TC), Lauren Valez (New York Undercover), etc. etc. etc.

Does anyone watch this show? Thoughts, Opinions? Is it worth it to keep watching? Is it worth getting Showtime?

On The Hunt: Possible Grammy Dress Contender...

OK - the hunt is on for *the* dress for the Grammys. The last time I went, I wore something full length, loooooow back, high turtleneck and my heels ripped the dress hem to SHREDS. Plus -open bar, possible tripping, blond AND long dress = VERY messy combo.

SO, I'm looking for plus size cocktail dressy dress that I can use for future dressy occasions around here and will allow for tailoring because while I may be shrinking slowly, I don't want to totally lose my investment. And, I can't get the shoes first because I'm running into roadblocks.

I've noticed that the dresses are either too dressy, too mother-of-the-bride, too prom-y or too casual. Not to mention, I have cleavage - that can limit some dresses. Some dresses don't really allow for cleavage and no amount of hollywood tape can keep the girls up without proper support, ya know. I have my dress already for the night before at the Ivy - just the ceremony has to be a bit za-za-zooo, if you get my drift.

First Contender: Nordstrom JS Boutique Beaded Mesh Dress in Brown or Midnight or the standard Black.

Second Contender: Kiyonna's Cashmere Satin Dress in Gray (tho I think it would look better on Reese than moi.)

I'll post more contenders as I find them. My goal is to have my dress next week or so to allow for alterations if need be. Any suggestions?

Now please keep in mind that I have not found nor purchased my ensemble for the Grammys yet. However, I did come across these lovelies...

Yay or Nay: Automatic Martini Maker...

While browsing through my kitchen "Vogue" aka Sur La Table catalog, my eyes rested upon this interesting little device - an automatic martini maker. So, with the push of a button, you can get your martinis shaken or stirred. Cost for this nifty little item - a mere $99.99

What's YOUR verdict: Yay or Nay...

*BTW: Sur's site seems to be down today so I resorted to the next link that I knew had it. GRRRRRRRRRRRR.

Yay or Nay: IKEA

It's been quite the crazy day today (more on that later) but I would like your opinions on something.

Orlando just had an IKEA open up by the Millenia Mall (my 2nd - or is it 3rd home) and it was quite the to do. They actually had people waiting since MONDAY to be there when the doors opened yesterday. To me that's utter craziness. However, I'm debating on going there the weekend of Dec. 1st (after the 9to5 chaos is over) and, having NEVER shopped there before I ask for your advice.

So what are your thoughts, helpful hints, warnings about IKEA and it's products? Thanks in advance!
