Obsessed With: Christian Louboutin Coral Platform Pump…

I think this pump has officially replaced my quest for Brian Atwood’s Maniac Nude Pump.  Hell, I’m in LOVE LOVE LOVE with this Coral Platform Pump from Christian Louboutin.  Coral is one of those colors I love – not quite red, not quite pink – totally off the beaten path.

How I will score these lovelies, I’m not quite sure – but I will have those in the closet in my size before the end of the summer.  I wonder if the Saks in Philly carries these or will a trip to NYC be in a gal’s near future…

Obsessed With: Elizabeth & James Lace Pumps...

You know, I detest loving this new line by the Olsen twins.  I see a pair of their shoes, not know it's made by them and *boom* fall in love - HATE IT!  And what's worse is I have a pair of E&J boots that fit fabulously (yes, THOSE boots I waxed poetic about before).  Not to mention the quality is stellar.  Perhaps I should get over my celebrity brand issue, huh (except with Jessica Simpson - that one will NOT change.  Same with J-Lo.  And Britney Spears.  And.... let me shush).

So now they have these Elizabeth & James Lace pumps and I adore anything lace.  Couple that with the buttons down the heel and they had me at hello.  So now this means I'm going to start scouring for coupons/sales/cash back and hope my size doesn't sell out in the meantime.

*le sigh*

Obsessed With: Elizabeth & James Jean Envelope Bootie...

I detest falling for celebrity "branded" lines, mainly because I've learned that often the celebs themselves really don't do anything but sign their name on the dotted line and collect a check.  Hey, I don't want to fault them for hustling, I just choose to not contribute to their "non-design" and participation - that's all.  For example, I REFUSE to wear Jessica Simpson anything.  I mean, seriously, what the hell does Jessica Simpson know about Plus Size clothing - NADA.  And I refused to shop at Avenue for 2 years until they got rid of her line.  The same goes with her shoes - hell to the no.

However, when I saw these booties, I started salivating.  The gorgeous gray color.  The fabulous ostrich detail and that heel.  Much to my chagrin, I learned that they were an Olsen twin line - Elizabeth & James.  And, sadly, they passed my true test - would I buy them at full price.  Yup, I would and am already plotting to allocate funds after the move for my "Welcome to Philly Booties".

Let's just hope I find coupons and cash back plus sale to alleviate the painful screams of my poor abused wallet.

Shoe Lust: L.A.M.B. v. Bakers...

Don't ask me WHY I adore these - I just do. I can't fathom the rhyme or reason. They aren't timeless, they are absolutely trendy and I think that these shoes are, as Stacy London would say, pure "Sex on a Stiletto".

L.A.M.B. "TAMMY"

Luckily for my wallet there is "replica" that is almost the daggone same (and no - it wasn't made by Jessica Simpson. Reese would SHOOT me). Check out the Bakers version...

Bakers "BERKLEY"

That just might leave me some $$$ to actually save towards the pair of L.A.M.B. shoes I am lusting after horribly

L.A.M.B.'s Tailynn...

That sound of distant wailing you hear - that's my closet screaming. :::sigh:::

Obsessed With: Christian Louboutin's YOPI Pump

I'm a lover of ALL things Teal/Turquoise etc. and Christian Louboutin's YOPI Pump is no exception.

The color. The lines. That heel. Oh my. Yup, this is one (of many) that is on my "wish list". One day, my friends. One day.

I'm In Love.... With A Shoe...

*sigh*

Aren't these Gucci Sofia High Heel Pumps divine? Yeah, I know - you're thinking "Lys, are you EVER going to get off this "Tortoiseshell" trend" and my response is a swift NEVER!

It's classic. It's trendy. It's downright gorgeous.

And, as god is my witness *in true Gone with the Wind fashion* these pumps WILL be mine.

Shush Meowmix - it could have been worse.

Obsessed With: Stuart Weitzman 'Bouffant'

These gorgeous pumps have been on my mind since I saw them in person at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.
Obviously, I'm going to have to wait a few days because I'm on the fence with do I/don't I but I'm seriously contemplating getting them in Black. While the grey flannel are just as stunning, I beat on my shoes and leather is a bit more durable than flannel, right?
Either way, I'm going to tease the Nordy's peeps and try those suckers on - then buy them online with cash back. I've learned when it comes to Stuart Weitzman's - they NEED to be tried on.
They are stunning... and need to be on my feet for fall. I'm such a sucker for Oxfords.

Breathtaking: Christian Louboutin Loubounight Laminato Clutch

I balked at the price, of course, but found the Christian Louboutin Loubounight Laminato Clutch to be not only breathtaking but adorable. My fave detail - the clasp.

You have to GOT to read this part though. Our dear Christian did not forgo his trademark red:

From SAKS.com:
    • A whimsical frame bag for evening, in ruched nappa leather with a signature
      high-heel clasp.

    • Silvertone hardware

    • Shoe snap closure with signature red "soles"

    • Red satin lining with leather logo patch

Stunning... so very stunning. One day my friends, one day.

Obsessed With: Bobbi Brown Limited Edition Mauve Face Pallette

I've been in a cosmetics quandary for a while. When I was a teenager, I used to raid my mother's beauty products all the damn time. Eventually, she took me to Estee Lauder for my own cosmetics and that's what started my love affair with all things color. In college I headed the makeup department for all the theatrical productions and learned more about the brands and how certain things worked with other products.

Over the years, I would vary between brands - not loyal to any specific brand - just what looked good and I liked. I experimented. I tried to "narrow" down my "beauty" point of view (sorry - cheap jab at the Next Food Network Star and their overuse of "Culinary Point of View".) My friends would ask me to do their makeup before we'd head out and I rarely have an off day makeup wise. It's a talent, one that's definitely inherited from my mom.

So, when I moved to Orlando, after working with a brilliant M.A.C. makeup artist for a few client shoots, I really started to use their products. Their eyeshadow, Paradisco, makes my eyes look so brilliantly blue it's crazy. I used to use M.A.C. all the time with a spattering of Benefit and Maybelline (Shhhhh - don't judge. Their mascara rocked). Then I met Bare Escentuals and jumped into that pool with only my beloved M.A.C Paradisco remaining.

Last year, I became enamored with all things Bobbi Brown when I got her Stonewashed Nudes collection. I adored her limited edition kits and the product's staying power. However, recently thanks to some fabulous YouTube tutorial videos, I again started messin' around with M.A.C. and rebuilt my M.A.C. arsenal - tossing out all the old makeup from my early years.

Well, apparently my two fave brands must learn to co-exist because Bobbi Brown released a Limited Edition Mauve collection which will be mine by month end. I'm a sucker for all things mauve and this is no exception. Plus - I love how everything is so compact which makes my makeup choices for travel that much more simple. And then I hear that they might have a gloss that is like my beloved Chanel Metallic Vamp (which I can ONLY get on EBay - grrrr) and they have one of the gel liners that goes with. I'm so done.

I guess I will never narrow down my beauty brand point of view, but at least I can play nice in the sandbox with most brands. Each one brings something different to a table - but I'm enjoying playing makeup artist once again.

Obsessed With: Christian Louboutin's New Open-Toe Passementerie Pump

Do you think if I use The Secret appropriately, these suckers Christian Louboutin lovelies will be on my feet by my birthday...

:::sigh:::

Or, perhaps, Steve Madden might hear my wallet's cry for a similar shoe?

Obsessed With: Benefit Cosmetics...

When I was shopping at my favorite mall, The Cherry Hill Mall in New Jersey, I was craving the new Bobbi Brown Nudes collection. However, since I couldn't flag down a salesperson to help me that wasn't more interested in gossiping, I decided a coffee was in order. Reese was getting the full beauty treatment from a gal at Benefit and me being my nosy curious self, I had to peruse the display.

That's when I caught these two lovely things that have changed my beauty life.

Justine Case:

In here are the best products that one might need "Just In Case". Now, I had to giggle because of course it is named Justine (to quote one of our gals - our angel always saves our butts - in this case it was a beauty save) but the products in here are essential. It has Benetint for that "glow", California Kissin' lip gloss for a gleaming grin and minty fresh breath and Eyecon to get rid of my raccoon eyes from my lack of sleep. It also has their new "foundation faker" Some Kind-A Gorgeous and let me tell you - it is some kinda wonderful. Now I know I say I'm a Bare Escentuals gal but this has a little somethin' somethin' that might work in the humidity known as Orlando. My problem is I have alot of red/pink undertones in my skin that can only be corrected with a good yellow foundation. Anything with pink undertones makes it look funky.

Cupid's Bow:

I love the look of a full lip (while mine are slightly recovering from their case of chapped-itis from the cold arctic winds) and this set really helps me set it off. And add that with the California Kissin' - I'm ready to regain my title as the Kissin' Bandit.

I also picked up their SMOOOCH which has also assisted with my chapped-itis lips. Sometimes I think that works better than Blistex. When it comes to smoochable lips, I swear by both Smooch and Benefit's Lip Plump.

When you can, drop by the Benefit display at either Sephora or Macy*s. You won't be sorry.

Obsessed With: Ombre Pumps...

I know I know - I swore off all things Bakers since I found out that they were guilty of putting out the Jessica Simpson shoe line, but I might have to make an exception for these Zoe Ombre Pumps.
I adore all things Ombre and they not only come in this divine Pink, but also a delish Yellow and soft Blue. Oh my lord - I might have to splurge on two pair at this rate.

What a way to usher in Spring, right?

Obsessed With: Claudia Ciuti Shoes...

In my email today, I received a little media release about the new Spring/Summer 2008 line at Claudia Ciuti shoes. I'm sure some of you are going "Claudia CIWHOOO" but avid Ugly Betty devotees know that Wilhelmina's style knows no bounds and on Wilhelmina's feet are often some lovely pair of Claudia Ciuti Shoes per the request of the one and only Vanessa Williams. I've been looking to new and upcoming shoe designers moreso than the standard CLs, etc - just out of curiousity. Well, I found a couple pairs that I'm lusting after and figured I'd share the pretty pictures with you. I went to the SALE section so y'all know that I've got my budgetista hat on as well!

A Va-Va-Vooom Red Shoe is a must for EVERY fashionista's closet. Check out the IVA

For a classic T-Strap with some spectator style, why not try the LILLA

For a basic black pump, why not check out the MIMI. (I know I am)

Want something a bit more embellished? Check out the LINDAR.

Trust me when I say there is more - much much more, but what are you waiting for - click click click!

Obsessed With: Cute Things for the Kitchen...

I know I haven't done an "Obsessed With" in a while but here are some cute things that I think are so fab and definitely on my "might buy" list...

These Ladies Who Lunch saucers and teacups by Rosanna. I think it's so adorable, especially when you have a friend over for lunch.

Also a winner: The I'd Love To Have... mugs and plates from Rosanna.

And these would look fabulous on my wall... Little Black Dress collection from Rosanna.

Moving on (before I invest may-jah moola over at Rosanna's site), I dropped into Williams Sonoma this week to return something that I purchased (a sifter - found a better deal and more well made over at the Le Creuset outlet), and Joshua let me fondle this gorgeous Scarf Print Tablecloth in blue (Erin - they have a pink version; Sarah - there's a Kiwi version!). Normally I'd balk at $58.00 for a tablecloth but if you saw how well made it was, oh my heavens, love it! Perhaps I'll come back from Philly with this in my suitcase. (Why is it I rarely feel guilty for that which I buy on vacation?)

Shop Suey Boutique, has some amazing aprons. Here are a couple of my favorites:

And finally, here are the two new additions to my kitchen (Don't stress - they were on sale!):

Many thanks to Greg over at the Le Creuset outlet at the Prime Outlets for his expert advice, as always!

Obsessed With: Sephora's Croc Brush Set

Sephora is just so thoughtful. They sent me a lovely email for my birthday (Nov. 4th - mark your calendars - the big 3.6. *ahem* I mean 2.9.) in which they are giving me a gorgeous Bliss butter. How sweet and, of course, I can't be rude and should consider buying a thing (or three). In their email they sent along with my pre-birthday gift, I saw something that had me drooling at "hello"...

Look at this brush set. It just screams to be adopted and it is perfect for my new Bronzy/Pink or Bronzy/Teal look bathroom (it's a work in progress!). H
ave I ever mentioned I'm a total sucker for a good cosmetic brush?? And, much like a good set of tweezers, I find that I often lose them only to find them when I am not looking, especially when it comes to eye shadow, smudge, liner, etc. brushes. Case in point - I just cannot find my new Bobbi Brown eyeliner brush. It's gone *poof* nowhere to be found (perhaps I should look in the bottom caverns of my purse - I heard there are items that can be scavenged among the mounds of change).

I'm afraid of all the other fun stuff I'm going to add to my cart. I just wish they carried Principessa. I'd be in some serious trouble then.

Obsessed With: Stuart Weitzman's Ombre Pumps..

First of all - I've found myself mesmerized by the Ombre shoes that Prada has. But, sadly, when I happened to be walking through Saks the other day, my shoe buddy showed me the ombre shade I loved, but they were Mary Janes. I'm NOT going to spend $510 on a pair of Mary Janes that I don't adore. I thought I had saw them as pumps, and they were, but only in tan/brown. I wanted grey/black.

Well, The Secret has spoken and I discovered this: Stuart Weitzman's Ombre Pumps in Coal. First, kudos to Kalisah over at I'm Not My Hair for pointing out all things Stuart Weitzman on her blog. That gal has impeccable taste. Secondly, while they are pricey, I am going to do some investigating of these shoes. I need to know fit, sizing, etc. I'm hearing that they might run narrow. I also don't want to go into a situation like when I bought a pair of Michael Kors pumps in a 10 (I run either a 9.5 or a 10 in all shoes) from Nordys last season (the platform 4" round toe stack pumps) and didn't try them on. Sadly, the 10s fit like 9s. Yeah, those are my 4 hour shoes. If you saw under my desk, I have about 3 pairs under there. A pair of black wedges, the painful shoes and a pair of black flats. I'm armed to move people.

So - if anyone has ever tried Mr. Weitzman's shoes, can you fill in a gal? And, this is my promise to y'all - if all works out with a recent project, those shoes WILL be mine by birthday time...
